Dispersing standard operation procedures

The training of LSMBS shoppers is generally conducted by telephone and through written instructions. The written instructions and forms provided to the shoppers form the equivalent of a standard operating procedure (SOP). Often, since the network of shoppers is widely dispersed and may or may not be involved with more than one sample collection period, formal SOPs are not devised and provided to the shoppers. Instead, complete written instructions are provided, albeit not necessarily in SOP format. 

All HIDM and twin screw color concentrate samples were letdown into blown film for evaluation of color, strength and dispersion quality. Standard 1.5 mil (37 pm) films were prepared by blending concentrate samples with 1.0 MI LLDPE resin at a letdown of 5.0 weight percent and extruding through a 37.5 mm laboratory film line at a blowup ratio of 2.4 1 and lay flat width of 20 cm. Standard operating procedures were observed throughout. 

Test conditions. The rolling tests were carried out with three different roll testers located in three different laboratories and various operators. Thus, a common test procedure was established focusing on a minimization of the test results dispersion. Besides the use of the norms AGMA 915 and AGMA 935 [3,4,7], the recommendations regarding test conditions and equipment calibration, the following test parameters were fixed to standardize the test conditions.
