When microelectronics and solid state devices developed over the last five to four decades, the development of solid-state sensors followed suit, resulting in the introduction of NTC and PTC resistors to monitor temperature, and first Reed relais and inductive sensors to determine position and distance, or tachometers for rotational measurements in washing machines and dish washers over the past two decades. 

Pressure sensors are being used in all water consuming household appliances (e.g. dish washers, washing machines), but also for filter (differential pressure) applications. Washing machines usually feature only one pressure sensor yielding at the same time ...

The holding tanks are located in a separate bermed area that can retain 110% of the tank volume. The discharge lines from each laboratory (i.e., sinks, hoods, dish washers) and the holding tanks are constructed of acid- and solvent-resistant materials. The Teflon joints are heat-sealed to prevent leaks or separation. The immediate vicinity of the tanks is surveyed at regular intervals to check for leaks and associated radioactivity. 

PP finds highly successful uses in both major and small appliances. Haier Group in China is a leading manufacturer of consumer durables with an annual turnover of about 9 billion. By the early 1990s the company had battled Whirlpool, Electrolux, Siemens and Matsushita to become the leader in China s market for home appliances. The group is now leaders with 250 types of refrigerators, air conditioners, dish washers and ovens, and in the USA alone its market share is about 50 per cent. 

This combination of properties made them ideal enamels for use in many household applications, including refrigerators, ovens, washing machines, tumble dryers and dish washers. 

Used in applications such as fan wheels, heating ducts in vehicles, internal components for washing machines and dish washers, transport cases, containers with film hinges.
