Diphenyl-methane diamine

The electrochemical reduction of diphenylcarbodiimide in acetonitrile affords diphenyl-methane diamine. The reaction of carbodiimides with lithium powder resulted in a reductive coupling. ... [Pg.128]

According to a report presented by Fu et al. [180], the influence of POSS-triol on epoxy-amine reaction depends mostly on the magnitude of AT (Tg -Tc) used. Since Tg for epoxy cured with linear aliphatic diamine—2-methyl-1,5-pentadiamine (MPDA)—was higher than the Tg of the same epoxy cured with diamine-terminated polypropylene oxide (PPO), when cured at the same temperature, epoxy-cured MPDA showed a greater improvement in the value of Tg. Moreover, the addition of POSS-triol in tetraglycidyl diamino diphenyl methane (TGDDM) cured with MPDA also increased the rubbery plateau modulus (Fig. 6). [Pg.271]

Amines such as diethylene triamine, isophorone diamine, and 4,4-diamino-diphenyl methane, on the other hand, induce cold curing with formation of poly-j3-hydroxypropylamine structures ... [Pg.453]

Glycidyl amine resins are prepared hy reaction of epichlorhydrin with either primary diamines, monoamines or aminophenols. Each primary amine gives rise to two epoxide substituents. The reaction again involves two steps reaction of the epichlorhydrin with an active hydrogen to form the chlorohydrin, followed by ring closure with sodium hydroxide to generate the new epoxide. The common glycidyl amines are the reaction products of epichlorhydrin with diamino diphenyl methane and with p-aminophenol. [Pg.437]

In these reactions, diamines presenting variable basicity (diamino-4,4 -diphenyl methane, diamino-4,4 -diphenyl sulfone, and 4-amino phenyl ether) were used. It was found that diamino-4,4 -diphenyl sulfone is less reactive than its homologue 4,4 -diaminodiphenyl methane [29]. [Pg.400]

Suitable ligands are able to surround the guest, binding it by dispersive interactions, while peripheral hydrophilic groups effect their water solubiliW. The diphenyl methane system has been used in the construction of several effective hosts In a one-step reaction under dilution conditions of trimesic acid chloride with the matching diamine, followed by reduction of the carbonyl groups, we obtained the macrobicyclic host 22 22 exhibits remarkable quali-... [Pg.79]

The reaction of phosphorous esters and amides with polyhalogeno-methanes has been studied and used in a synthesis of phosphates. The reaction of diphenyl phosphorochloridate (103), produced in situ from diphenyl phosphonate and carbon tetrachloride, has been studied with various diamines. ... [Pg.109]
