VZS Diesel Generator Building Heating and Ventilation System... 

The VZS, which provides ventilation and eooling of the diesel generator building, and ventilation and heating of the diesel oil transfer mod lule enelosure to support operation of the onsite standby power system. 

The diesel generator building heating and ventilation system has no design requirements associated with safety. 

The ancillary diesel generator fuel oil supply portion of the system consists of a single tank serving both ancillary diesel generators. The tank is located inside the annex building and is served by the annex building heating and ventilation system. The tank is insulated and provided with heaters to maintain the fuel oil above the oil cloud point. Fuel oil lines from the tank to the diesels are insulated. 

The selection of plant locations affected by a DBEE (e.g. site areas, buildings and exposed equipment) should be made carefully, since the possible effects on any particular function caused by the impairment of a system may not be obvious. For example, the repair time for a power fine damaged by an event may determine the minimum amount of stored fuel required for the diesel generators, if the supply of diesel oil from sources nearby cannot be guaranteed. Failure of a ventilation system due to an aircraft crash may lead to a temperature rise inside a building, which in turn may cause the malfunctioning of electronic and pneumatic equipment.
