Poly copolymer dielectric properties

Recently siloxane-imide copolymers have received specific attention due to various unique properties displayed by these materials which include fracture toughness, enhanced adhesion, improved dielectric properties, increased solubility, and excellent atomic oxygen resistance 1S3). The first report on the synthesis of poly(siloxane-imides) appeared in 1966, where PMDA (pyromellitic dianhydride) was reacted with an amine-terminated siloxane dimer and subsequently imidized 166>. Two years later, Greber 167) reported the synthesis of a series of poly(siloxane-imide) and poly(siloxane-ester-imide) copolymers using different siloxane backbones. However no physical characterization data were reported. [Pg.33]

Dielectric properties of poly(AN-itof-MATRIF), poly(MAN-itof-MATRIF), poly(MVCN-itof-MATRIF) copolymers as well as poly(MATRIF) homopolymer have been studied [107]. The complex dielectric was measured isothermally in the... [Pg.470]

The dielectric properties were investigated in the 120-433 K temperature range, so well below and above the glass transition temperature and at different frequencies in the range 0.4 mHz-10 MHz. The real components of the complex dielectfic permittivity, e and tan8 are listed in Figure 20.21 for poly(MATRIF) homopolymer ((a) and (b)) and the poly(VCN-a/t-ATRIF) copolymer ((c) and (d)), at fixed frequencies 10 Hz, 117 Hz and 10 kHz [121]. [Pg.484]

The syntheses of poly(vinylidene fluoride)-fc-poly(AN, MAN, or VCN) (PVDF- -PMcn) block copolymers achieved by the iodine transfer polymerization (ITP) of acrylonitrile (AN), methacrylonitrile (MAN), and vinylidene cyanide (VCN), in the presence of PVDF-I, are also original materials with interesting dielectric properties. [Pg.487]
