We have analyzed a simple desalinator by translating the physical description to a mathematical description. The basis for our analysis was a concept from physics - the conservation of mass. 

None of the SMR design descriptions in this report identifies the need of further R D on the technologies of seawater desalination. However, a certain amount of R D on the selection and optimization of a potable water production process and the system configuration could be foreseen for the cases when such a selection has not been made. 

Desalination, district heating and industrial steam co-generation designs are being developed at this time [11-20]. Detailed description will be included in a future edition of this document. 

This summary describes the history of cellulose triacetate RO membrane, description of cellulose triacetate hollow-fiber RO modules of Toyobo for seawater desalination, actual operation results, and recent RO modules of cellulose triacetate including most recently developed advanced modules.
