Figure 4b. Typical size distribution of 218Po, full line BOM, dashed line EML, for growth regime. CN level was in general around 4 X 105 per cm , humidity 3-5%, SO2 introduced concentration 10-20 ppm. The presence of a peak at size. 075y to. lly is not fully understood and may be an artifact of the deconvolution program. Error bars are standard deviations for the measurements. Figure 4b. Deconvolution. When the luminescence lifetime is close to the laser pulse duration, the kinetics can still be obtained by a process known as deconvolution, so long as the luminescence decay is exponential. The deconvolution program is a computer simulation of the shape of the laser pulse modified for various luminescence lifetimes. An example is given in Figure 7.33. The kinetics of fluorescence decay could not be resolved directly, but it is clear that the emission pulse shape differs from the laser pulse shape... [Pg.247]

Ruiz-Sala et al. (129) described a reversed-phase HPLC method with a light-scattering detector for the analysis of TGs in milk fat. The identification of TGs was carried out by a combination of HPLC and gas-liquid chromatography (GLC), and was based on the equivalent carbon numbers and retention times of different standard TGs. Finally, quantitation of peak areas from HPLC chromatograms was carried out after applying a deconvolution program to the parts of chromatograms with poor resolution. [Pg.237]

A reproducible base-line drawing procedure and a kind of peak deconvolution procedure is necessary to determine the area of this rubber loss maximum and that of the original PP relaxation maxima. A computerised deconvolution program for the separation of overlapping DMA loss maxima was described by... [Pg.97]

The accuracy of peak deconvolution programs can be tested with synthetically overlapping peaks 43,58). Another procedure is useful for checking deconvolution of experimental peaks a gas chromatograph is... [Pg.160]

The collection efficiency of particulates on fine mesh screens has been studied theoretically and experimentally for many years (6-10). Two publications provide data on intercomparison exercises using various screen diffusion batteries (11, 12). A deconvolution program is necessary to generate the particle size distributions firom the alpha counting data on the 6 collection stages. This is accomplished using an Extreme Value Estimation program (EVE) tiiat provides a best estimate of the particle size distribution (4). [Pg.345]

To allow us to extract rotational populations from vibrational bands like the v = 5 band of Figure 3, we have written a caiputer code which solves these n coupled non-linear equations. Figure 6 illustrates the results obtainable with this code, ihe calculated and observed CARS spectra are nearly identical. The rotational populations derived from the experimental spectrum by the deconvolution program give a linear Boltzmann plot with a temperature of 299 K and a correlation coefficient of 0.997. Ihe experimental spectrum was taken at an ambient temperature of 295 K. [Pg.218]

The above form of the set of equations indicates that, for various heat capacities there is no need to change the mathematical model of the calorimeter a change in C calls only for the introduction of new data in the deconvolution program. This can also be applied when the heat capacities of the calorimetric vessel content changes during the experiment (e.g. in the titration process). [Pg.104]

G1400 - deconvolution test spectrum. This spectrum contains nine well-defined doublet peaks formed by shifting and attenuating peaks from GllOO. The peak separations are 1, 3 and 6 channels and the peak ratios are 10 1,3 1 and 1 1. These separations represent about 0.2, 0.5 and 1 FWHM, respectively. This spectrum is a severe test of deconvolution programs and most are found wanting. [Pg.303]
