Displacement curves

Figure 15.3 shows the number of hydrogen vehicle sales per year for each scenario, and compares this with the historical market penetration of gasoline hybrid-electric vehicles (HEVs) in the USA, with the HEV curves displaced by 12 years, to reflect hydrogen s later introduction into the market. Scenarios 1 and 2 are similar to the market introduction rate of gasoline hybrid vehicles in the United States, but... [Pg.463]

Let us return to Siegel-cyclohexatriene (30) and inspect the relationship between the geometries of the ground state and the twin excited states. The model in Figure 11a (also eq 11) predicts that an attractive 77-curve, displaced to the left of the a-minimum, will reduce the bond alternation induced by the er-strain. Since the 77-curve of the twin excited state is attractive, this state will lose the bond alternation of the ground state and the benzene nucleus will regain its local D%h symmetry. [Pg.27]

Figure 2. Small-angle X-ray-scattering curves from silica polymers grown in alkaline solution with various ratios (R) of water to TEOS. The data are slit smeared and are plotted as log 1(h) versus log h, with the curves displaced vertically for clarity. The observed slopes are algebraically one greater than would be observed with pinhole geometry. The curve for R = 1 is consistent with a mass fractal structure with D/ = 2.84. The curves for R = 2-4 arise from colloids (Df = 3) with fractally rough surfaces with D, = 2.71, 2.51, and 2.45, respectively. (Reproduced with permission from reference 10. Benign focal lesions usually lead to a smoothly curved displacement of arteries (and veins). In the parenchymal phase, they show more or less sharply delineated filling defects. (132, 145, 156)... [Pg.180]

The overall rightward trend in peak shift with increasing temperature is similar to that for the untreated sample. The a-relaxation peak, that is weak at 25° C but becomes increasingly more clear with increase in temperature, shifts to lower temperature with degradation. As in Figure 1, there is an upward vertical curve displacement with increasing temperature although e" attains... [Pg.158]

Based on the pushover analysis, the properties of the equivalent SDOF model are calculated. First, the pushover curve is converted to the capacity curve. Displacements and forces are divided by the transformation coefficient ... [Pg.172]
