Cross coupling reactions derivatives

Trifluoromethylalion of aryl iodides was carried out by the fluoride ion in duced cross-coupling reaction of aromatic iodides with tnfluoromethyltnalkyl-silanes in the presence ofcopper(I) salts [219 (equation 147) Some pentafluoro- ethyl derivative was also formed This methodology was extended to pentafluoroethyl-and heptafluoropropyltriethylsilanes [2/9]... [Pg.706]

The von Richter cinnoline process was further extended to solid-phase synthesis. The route began from benzylaminomethyl polystyrene and the required diverse o-haloaryl resins represented by 21 were prepared from substituted o-haloanilines. A Pd-mediated cross-coupling reaction with 21 and the alkynes provided the alkynylaryl derivatives represented by alkyne 22. The von Richter cyclization reaction with hydrobromic or hydrochloric acid in acetone/HaO and cleavage from the resin occurred in the same step to furnish the cinnoline derivatives 23 in 47-95% yield and 60-90% purity (no yield reported for each entry). [Pg.542]

They have also developed a route to 2-allenylindole derivatives (98T13929). When prop-2-ynyl carbonates (76) are reacted with 73 in the presence of palladium catalyst, a cross-coupling reaction occurs to give 77a (46%) and 77b (45%). Under a pressurized carbon monoxide atmosphere (10 atm), the palladium-catalyzed reaction of 73 with 78 provides 79a (60%) and 79b (60%) (2000H2201). In a similar reaction, when the substrate is changed to aryl halides (80), 2-aryl-1-methoxyindoles such as 81a (70%) and 81b (60%) are prepared (97H2309). [Pg.115]

One of the first examples was the above mentioned work from Yoshino et al. [7] concerning the synthesis of poly(9,9-dialkylfluorene)s via oxidative coupling of fluorene derivatives. Poly(9,9-dialkylfluorene) derivatives have been also synthesized via Ni- and Pd-catalyzed aryl-aryl homo- and cross-coupling reactions of sui-... [Pg.34]

The procedure in Section C is representative of the synthesis of non-natural a-amino acids featuring the palladium cross coupling reaction of a (1-alaninc organozinc derivative with aromatic electrophiles. This methodology has been successfully extended with modifications to both the electrophile and the catalyst as shown in the Table. [Pg.43]

The Suzuki cross coupling reaction features in a synthesis of 4-arylcoumarins from the 4-halogeno derivatives c96JCS(Pl)2591> and in a route to the thieno[3,4-c]coumarin (8) from which coumarin 3,4-quinodimethane (9) can be thermally generated <96T3117>. [Pg.296]

Using Pd-mediated cross-coupling reactions, such as Suzuki, Heck, and Sonoga-shira- Hagihara reaction, researchers efficiently constructed a library of 151 coumarin derivatives from eight 3-bromocoumarins cross-coupled with ten aryl/heteroaryl boronic acids, ten alkenes, and ten alkynes (Fig. 4). [Pg.154]

Oxidative cross-coupling reactions of alkylated derivatives of activated CH compounds, such as malonic esters, acetylacetone, cyanoacetates, and certain ketones, with nitroalkanes promoted by silver nitrate or iodine lead to the formation of the nitroalkylated products.67 This is an alternative way of performing SRN1 reactions using a-halo-nitroalkanes. [Pg.138]

Deoxyvariolin B 149 has been synthesized by a palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reaction of iodo derivative 147 with tin compound 148 (Equation 5) <2001TL315, 2003JQC10020, 2003TL6191, 2004JOC4974>. [Pg.985]

This is a very rare metal in cross-coupling reactions. Direct comparison of similar methylating reagents derived from Al, Ga, and In showed that the Ga derivative is the least reactive.165 Vinylgallium dichlorides underwent cross-coupling with aryl iodides in the presence of Pd catalysts with P(o-tol)3 the reaction is moderately tolerant to acidic functional groups.166... [Pg.320]

Phosphites P(OR)3 are much weaker ligands for Pd, and are not capable of supporting Pd° species in solution for the reactions where oxidative addition is rate-limiting therefore they are very rarely used in cross-coupling reactions. Phosphite-derived palladacycles, however, are among the most effective precatalysts (Section 9.6.3.4.8). [Pg.349]
