In Naturalistic Inquiry, Lincoln and Cuba (7) articulated trustworthiness criteria to defend the knowledge claims made in qualitative inquiry. These criteria focus on the credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability of the emic perspective as discerned through qualitative research methods.
