Melt the turpentine and lard together over a water-bath, then withdraw the heat, add the subacetate of copper, and thoroughly mix by stirring the whole until cold. [Pg.254]

Other methods have been suggested for the preliminary purification, e.g., silver oxide, silver carbonate and lead subacetate, and copper sulphate and caustic potash, but the lead subacetate alone with care gives satisfactory results. [Pg.138]
