Cooling single manifold

Multilayered laminates with an ABS outer layer can be produced by coextrusion. In this process two or three different polymers may be combined into a multilayered film or sheet. Adhesion is enhanced by cooling the extruded laminate directly from the melt rather than in a separate operation after the components of the sheet have been formed and cooled separately. In one process flows from individual extruders are combined in a flow block and then conveyed to a single manifold die. All the polymer streams should have approximately the same viscosity so that laminar flow can be maintained. [Pg.421]

P-type manifold—veiiical configuration. The P ring dryer (see Fig. 12-100) incorporates a single-stage classifier and was developed specifically for use with heat-sensitive materials. The undried material is reintroduced into a cool part of the dryer in which it recirculates until it is dry enough to leave the circuit. [Pg.1229]

Kolb et al. [167] reported the design, fabrication, and testing of another preferential oxidation reactor on the kilowatt scale (Figure 14.25a). Evaporation cooling was used here in a cocurrent flow arrangement. The reformate entered the preferential oxidation reactor from both sides, while the water was circulated in a front distribution chamber at the reactor inlet. Bose-Einstein condensates. Following the exciting progress with cold atoms the experimental challenge became to prepare ultracold molecules.
