Controls training orientated

For larger businesses with more complex hazards and work practices to control them, orientation should be structured carefully. You want to make sure that all new employees start the job with clear expectations and understanding of the hazards and how to protect themselves and others. Employers frequently provide a combination of classroom and on-the-job training [5]. [Pg.287]

New employee orientation. The format and extent of orientation training will depend on the complexity of hazards and the work practices needed to control them. Orientation will include a combination of initial classroom and follow-up on-the-job training. [Pg.327]

TASK d estimate the manpower required and develop a staffing plan. The manpower required to conduct a PrHA depends on many factors, including the review method selected, the training and experience of the review team, the extent and complexity of the process, its instrumentation and controls, and whether the process is a procedure-oriented operation (such as a batch reaction) or a continuous operation (such as petroleum refining). [Pg.21]

On-site population includes not only employees (with specific training for the emergency response team), but also contractors and visitors. Every person who enters a facility should be trained in how to respond to an emergency. In most cases, this involves a simple orientation process to familiarize everyone with the basic hazards that exist at the facility, general emergency recognition, and the facility s responses to alarms. Personnel who work closely with the process and may be instrumental in its control will certainly receive more training as their roles necessitate. [Pg.128]

Reactors and Catalysts. The reactor configuration consists of two reactor trains of two reactors in series each with two beds (8). Since the reactors are adiabatic, each bed temperature, except the first bed, is controlled by recycle hydrogen gas. However, as shown in Figure 1, the bed temperatures increase with reactor depth. A maximum reactor inlet temperature is set to avoid coking in the furnace coil and the first bed. A maximum reactor outlet temperature is limited by reactor shell metallurgy. The hydrodesulfurization catalyst, which occupies about 70% of a total catalyst volume, is packed in a lower half of the second bed and the whole third and fourth beds. The rest is the hydrodemetallation catalyst. We have used Orient Catalyst HOP-802 as the hydrodesulfurization catalyst, which contains about 2% Ni and 8% Mo on an alumina support. [Pg.209]

Two rationales for change pertain to market-driven, consumer-oriented features of motor vehicles. One is the value of power train electrification, enabling highly controllable, quiet, smooth, and customized responsiveness to driver input. The other is the need for ample onboard electric power to provide a variety of amenities as well as enable power train electrification. [Pg.216]

Behaviour-oriented psychological intervention is focused on interrupting the itching-scratching cycle training of alternative habits to scratching discrimination and control of scratching stimuli, and relaxation techniques. [Pg.174]

For example, an equipment-oriented team might say The tank overflowed because the level controller failed. A people-oriented team may say The tank overflowed because the instrument technician did not service the level controller. A management-oriented team would say The tank overflowed because we did not have a good enough training program for our instrument technicians. ... [Pg.242]

The above scenario happens in driver orientation ciasses every week. And whiie this scenario may technicaiiy meet the ietter of the requirements of 390.3(e)(2) for drivers, it does not meet the spirit of the reguiation, your safety management control with regard to training needs to be far more extensive. [Pg.289]

Do you feel that you received propriate hazard control orientation and training before beginning this job ... [Pg.383]
