Construction methods reclamation area see

The main requirement with respect to the construction methods of a land reclamation is to retain the fill material within its boundaries. Another important issue is the management of process water and fines. 

Part of the preparation for reclamation is site clearance. Rubbish, polluted soil, vegetation etc. needs to be removed before filling can start. This may be contaminated material which requires special handling, treatment or disposal 

Prior to the commencement of the Works, the Contractor shall submit the proposed methods for carrying out the work which shall include the layout and construction of any temporary bunds required to retain the dredged material, methods of working within bunded areas to achieve the required levels, method of limiting the escape of fines, arrangement of layers and compaction, and methods to prevent accumulation of fines. 

The placement methods shall be compatible with the design of the intermediate and final project phases. 

The Contractor shall provide plant fit for purpose for the proper and timely execution of the Work required under the Contract.
