Hybrid conjugated polymers

In this review, the recent progresses of functional macromolecules comprised with the dithiafulvene moiety, e.g., dithiafulvene/ -conjugated polymer hybrid systems, dendritic dithiafulvenes, polyrotaxane structures, and intramolecular CTs are highlighted. 

To confirm detection of the other SNP sequence by a DNA-conjugated polymer, hybridization for codon 249 was investigated. The immobilized P-2 DNA for codon 249 can discriminate the difference between a fully matched and SNP sequence. The relative fluorescence intensities of SNP and unmatched DNA were 25 and 13%, respectively, at 0.3 M NaCl. Thus, our new probe can detect various sequences that differ at a single base by only changing probe-2 DNA sequence.

DMSO without precipitation for more than one month under air. This convenient preparation of the nanoparticle gave new methodology for interesting hybrid systems consisting of inorganic nanoparticles with -conjugated polymers. 

Novel hybrid materials have been realized in which fullerenes participate in composite films with 7r-conjugated-polymer electron donors such as oligothio-phenes. Established studies have already shown that the photoinduced electron transfer is rather enhanced between 7r-conjugated polymers and fullerenes, while back electron transfer is considerably slower [145,149,171,172].Electrosynthe-sized polythiophene with pendant fullerene substituents was recently obtained from the corresponding biothiophene-fulleropyrrolidine dyad [173]. The novel material described has the potential of a double-cable polymer, heavily loaded with fullerene electron-conducting moieties.
