Conditional acceleration definition

Psychiatric treatment of new illnesses has accelerated since the 1980s. Whereas psychiatry traditionally had been dominated by a psychodynamic perspective on illness, the field has turned its back on that tradition in favor of predominantly biological definitions of mental illness. Critics of this shift focus their attention on the social factors that have led psychiatrists to the prescription pad. One can only express wonderment at the discovery of so many new brain diseases since 1980. The bible of psychiatric diagnoses, the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, or DSM, has now been revised three times since 1953, most recently in 1994. The first two editions classified illnesses in accordance with the psychodynamic model prevalent at the time. Conditions warranting psychiatric treatment were understood as disorders of the mind. Then, in the 1980s, the language of psychotherapeutic disorder abruptly disappeared and was replaced by... 

The models described above are definitely stationary, while the electron cloud formation is not. It is assumed that the electron cloud does not evolve during the acceleration process and is not affected by the ions flowing through it. The latter condition requires that the number of the ions that are accelerated is much smaller than the number of hot electrons, Ni -C Ne. 

To avoid problems in the field, run a simple accelerated test in which samples are placed in a laboratory oven at an elevated temperature for various times. For example, set the over for 120°F and check for blooming after 24, 48, and 72 h. A visual check against parts stored at room temperature reveals any problems. This simulates the worst storing and shipping temperature conditions and provides a definitive answer in about three days. 

While the effect of the hydroxylic solvent on k2 cannot be quantified, it would be expected to accelerate it. The work of Hickey and Maitlis (19) involved the use of nonhydroxylic solvents, in which this accelerating effect is not available, and the assumption that k2 is fast under these conditions may not be justified. It is even possible that it may be slowed to the extent that it contributes to the rate-limiting step. If this is the case, the rate enhancements observed in their work might also be attributable to the acceleration of the k2 step by the Lewis acid countercations. Such effects of cations on migratory insertions are expected to be more important under their experimental conditions, where ion pairing was acknowledged to be significant. However, while this alternative explanation may appear to be consistent with the available data, we must emphasize that it is speculative. Certainly, more detailed studies are required to determine definitively the reason for this acceleratory effect. 

Some clinicians advise against the use of topical steroid therapy in this condition. However, the addition of a topical steroid, such as 1% prednisolone or newer site-specific steroids such as loteprednol 1% four times a day, accelerates resolution of the stromal infiltrates and the accompanying inflammatory response of the eye.
