Condensation efficiency

The effects of condenser efficiency reduction is limited by providing up to 15% overcapacity at the design stage, by preventative measures (both physical and chemical), and by periodic cleaning during operation. 

With the development of 2-D chromatography, direct hydrocarbon speciation in the LCO range for synthetic crudes produced in FCC laboratory reactors became possible. The new method in addition to a greater understanding of the mid-distillate chemical composition avoided the effect of variations in light naphtha condensation efficiency on total aromatics. The C5 + fraction lost to the gas phase will concentrate aromatics in the liquid phase and numerical compensation by adding the gas phase C5s back to the liquid phase and is subject to errors because of the low precision of C5 + determination in the gas phase. 

Many papers and patents deal with incorporation of additives in the poly-(urethane-seq-butadiene)s to increase the condensation efficiency, to improve the processing, or to improve the properties of solid propellants. A processing aid, trialkylamine 2201 and also tetracycline 221), was shown to reduce the viscosity and increase the pot life of hydroxytelechelic polybutadiene/polyisocyanate systems. It has been shown that the cure of isophorone diisocyanate and hydroxytelechelic polybutadienes was not affected by the addition of the ammonium perchlorate propellant 222). Special modification of HTPBs have been referred to in Refs. 223 236>.

Formation of The Earth was formed from solid dust particles containing metallic elements such as iron, the Earth together with silicates and other solids. The abundant elements on Earth are ones that are both made in large quantities in nuclear reactions, and also condensed efficiently to form solids. 

An asymmetric variant of a mixed acyloin or benzoin condensation using heterazolium catalysts has not yet been reported. However, enzymes have been shown to catalyze a number of mixed acyloin condensations efficiently [38,39, 40]. 

The permeate vapor is typically recovered in condensers at a temperature that allows a quantitative condensation of the vapor. Condensation can optionally be carried out in a series of condensation stages, at different temperatures, in order to achieve a permeate fractionation and increased enrichment of target compounds. Because the condensation efficiency is determined by both the condenser temperature and the residence time of the permeate vapor in the condenser, careful design of the condensation unit becomes crucial. The concept is attractive but the low molecular density of the vapor permeate does not favor its capture by adsorphve and/or absorptive techniques. 

As an example, a common step in organic processing is maintaining a reaction mix at a fixed temperature over a period of time by refluxing the solvent from the batch. This requires the solvent vapors to be condensed efficiently and redirected back to the batch to retain batch volume and concentration. However, if some part of the reflux procedure...

Owing to the lack of valuable information in the literature, we performed experiments to determine the suitability of the various amino acids as C- and N-terminal amino acids of the protected fragments. We found that in terms of racemization and condensation rates, Gly, Pro, Lys(Boc), and Glu(tBu) are preferred as the C-terminal amino acid and Gly, Ala, Asp(iBu), Glu(tBu), Lys(Boc), and Ser(tBu) as the N-terminal. In general, the condensation efficiency depends more on the natme of the resin-bound N-component thtm on that of the C-component. 

Desalination Excellent resistance to corrosion in sea water and chloride solutions, erosion, and high condensation efficiency make titanium the most cost-effective and dependable material for critical segments of desalination plants. Increased usage of very thin-walled welded tubing makes titanium competitive with copper-nickel.

The zinc condenser wiU produce zinc metal, but also a small quantity of matte and Blue Powder as a mixture of surface-oxidised fine zinc particles as well as zinc/lead oxide dross. Condenser efficiency to metal was around 70 to 80 per cent. Excessive production of Blue Powder and condenser drosses is often a significant problem with these systems. 

Finally, could the Author say what condensation efficiency he would underwrite with a fully contained, pressure suppression form of containment ... 

On his final point, without doing some large-scale experimental work or having access to results from elsewhere covering the appropriate conditions, I would not care to underwrite any figure for condensation, efficiency for a fully contained pressure suppression system.
