Our understanding of the mechanisms of biomineralization is superficial435. Crystalline [([18]crown-6)K][P(CN)2] is the preferred material for further reactions. In the P4-disproportionation reaction, crown ether potassium polyphosphides are formed as the second product. Their composition and solubility depend on the stoichiometry used. The intense red color of the solution in early stages of the reaction is caused by an intermediate high concentration of soluble polyphosphides. The final equilibrium concentration of these phosphides can contaminate and color the isolated dicyanophosphide. To avoid this contamination, the remaining soluble polyphosphides are converted to insoluble ones by an excess of white phosphorus.

II. Toxic dose. The toxicity of arsenic compounds varies considerably based on valence state, chemical composition, and solubility. Humans are generally more sensitive than other animals to the acute and chronic effects of arsenicals. 

Rb2TeBre. The reaction of H2TeBrj with several amines in acetic acid has been shown to give compounds of the type LgHgTeBr and L4H2TeBrj. The chemical composition and solubility of the products were studied in different solvents.

In one class of precursors, metal thiolates are formed by adding a thiol (RSH) like 2-mercaptoethanol to a Cd " solution. Previous work [22] has shown that Cd " (but also other metal) ions in the presence of thiols form polynuclear species complexed with RS with the formula [CdCRSsCds) ] . Composition and solubility of the complexes depend not only on metal and thiol concentration but also on pH, as reported previously by Hayes et al. [23] UV-Vis spectra of Cd thiolate complexes exhibit an absorption maximum around 250 nm [23, 24] as shown in Figure 19.3. Upon ultraviolet (254 nm) irradiation, the absorption peak at 250 nm decreased, while a second absorption band in the 270-290 nm appeared. 

The identity (by name, CAS number, or code number) and lot number/batch of the test, control, and reference substances. The strength, purity, composition, and solubility, if appropriate, should be provided. The stability under conditions of administration must be documented.
