Composite coating definition

The core material defined as the specific material to be coated can be liquid or solid in nature. The composition of the core material is varied, as the liquid core can include dispersed and/or dissolved material. The solid core can be a mixture of active constituents, stabilizers, diluents, recipients, and release-rate retardants or accelerators. The ability to vary the core material composition provides definite flexibility, and utilization of this characteristic often allows effectual design and development of the desired microcapsule properties.

The filler composition of the mastic is generally a mixture of many materials, each one employed with a definite objective. The compositions of these materials vary with the source of supply therefore, physical constants are difficult to compare. All materials are classified in this paper with respect to the properties in attaining a fire-resistant coating based on the theories disclosed. 

Furoxans have been recommended for use as accelerators of sensitized photographic emulsions,528 and as oxidants in color formers.529 Benzo-furoxan, when added to photopolymerizable printed circuit compositions, is said to improve the definition of the image.530 It is also beneficial as a constituent of carbon paper coatings.531 Some substituted benzofuroxans are proposed as inhibitors of styrene polymerization,532 and other furoxans suppress the formation of films on drying oils.280... 

In the case of complaints, the binder and pigment (extender) composition of the individual layers have to be established to determine the origin of the paint material in doubtful cases. Establishing the cause of coating defects (e.g., inclusions, delamination, peeling) is also important. These and other analytical investigations are time-consuming and expensive. Optimal utilization of analytical resources therefore requires a clear definition of the problem in hand.
