Communication theory

Thus a dilemma arises—observers surely can interprete and understand the behaviour of others and their possible intentions correctly but we might not be able to identify them on the bases of communication theories which use discrete signals. 

With this approach we possess the almost complete data-stream and we can look at how the brains of both the receiver and sender actually construct communicative reality. Our approach allows the manipulation of stimuli which can be tested against reality. We will propose a new communication theory which is in its nature multi-modal and multilayered with different channels and many possible communicative principles. 

To a significant extent, the theoretical basis of modern communication theory arose from the work of Claude Shannon at Bell Labs. [80].
