Corn germ meal (21% protein) is the dried residue left from oil recovery from germ. It has high absorbency for liquids, such as molasses and tallow, but the primary use is as an ingredient in com gluten feed. [Pg.426]

The value of com gluten feed is considerably affected by the fermentations in the steeps, by the skill used in neutralizing the sulphurous acid and the acids produced by fermentation in the steeps, and the care in drying the feed before shipment. [Pg.187]
