Climate-change mitigation policies

The European GHG Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) is the most important ETS worldwide and arguably the most important European climate change mitigation policy currently in place. 

Skills that can contribute towards developing and implementing new technologies, policies, etc., relevant to climate change mitigation, but perhaps more likely, adaptation. 

This work is a first step towards a better understanding of the likely effects of climate change on water resources of the Ebro River basin (uncertainties coming from hydrological parameterisation and future climate scenarios are subject of ongoing research), which is instrumental to guide the choice of suitable mitigation and adaptation policies.

According to Article 4, Paragraph 2(a) and (b) of the Framework Convention, parties falling under Annex I may implement policies on the mitigation of climate change jointly with other parties and may assist other Parties in contributing to the achievement of the objective of the Convention. 

Climate Policy presents the highest quality refereed research and analysis on the policy issues raised by climate change, and provides a forum for commentary and debate. It addresses both the mitigation of, and adaptation to, climate change, within and between the different regions of the world. It encourages a trans-disciplinary approach to these issues at international, regional, national and sectoral levels.
