Chlorides, unsaturated

Aryloxyphosphazene copolymers can also confer fireproof properties to flammable materials when blended. Dieck [591] have used the copolymers III, and IV containing small amounts of reactive unsaturated groups to prepare blends with compatible organic polymers crosslinkable by the same mechanism which crosslinks the polyphosphazene, e.g. ethylene-propylene and butadiene-acrylonitrile copolymers, poly(vinyl chloride), unsaturated urethane rubber. These blends were used to prepare foams exhibiting excellent fire retardance and producing low smoke levels or no smoke when heated in an open flame. Oxygen index values of 27-56 were obtained. [Pg.202]

NO behaved as radical acceptors and vinyl chloride, unsaturated monomer, proved its ability to polymerise under the action of polyurethane macroradicals. The creep curves, recorded in these conditions, Figure 3.314, allowed the calculation of the elastical deformations, i.e. instantaneous, retarded, and overall one, respectively. Table 3.110. In the active media, able to accept electrons, the total deformation is higher than in inert ones, vacuum and nitrogen, for the same applied stress, o = 42.20 MPa. In the presence of... [Pg.156]

The number of resin emulsions and rubber latexes suitable for use as raw materials for adhesives is very large. Emulsions of homopolymers and copolymers of vinyl acetate are the most important. The comonomers for vinyl acetate include maleic esters, acrylates, ethylene and vinyl chloride, unsaturated carboxylic acids, and vinyl esters of relatively long-chain fatty acids, such as vinyl laurate. Apart from these products, polyacrylate homopolymers and copolymers and also styrene copolymers are particularly important in adhesives [42]. [Pg.28]

Eversorb 73 is a benzotriazole type absorber. It offers superior light protection of polyolefin substrates against the deterioration of UV radiation. Eversorb 73 is also efficient for the light stabilization of polyvinyl chloride, unsaturated polyester, polyurethane, styrenic polymers, coatings and lacquers. [Pg.83]
