In calves, nebulization of ceftiofur sodium (Img/kg) is superior to intramuscular (i.m.) administration (Img/kg) for the treatment of Pasteurella haemolytica pneumonia (Sustronck et al 1995). Aerosolized ceftiofur reduces mortality and clinical and hematological parameters return to normal significantly faster than in calves receiving ceftiofur i.m.
