CDM coordinators

As soon as the design and preparatory work has been completed, and if the project is sufficiently large that it has to be notified to the HSE, the client is required to appoint a CDM coordinator. [Pg.793]

Responsibility for making the notification lies with the CDM coordinator who must provide to the HSE the information listed in schedule 1 of the Regulations before any work starts on the site. Official form FIO (rev), which calls for the necessary information, can be used but is not mandatory. Notification of construction work must be made where the work being undertaken is expected to last more than 30 days or where it involves a total of more than 500 person-days. A working day is any day on which work of any sort is carried out on the site and includes weekends and all other times outside the normal working week. [Pg.796]

The CDM coordinator has the legal duty under CDM to ensure that the health and safety file is compiled for the completed building and mechanical and electrical services, etc. within. The file is then handed to the client on completion of the project. The client must then ensure that the file is kept safe and is available for any interested party in the future. [Pg.55]

The nature of Dexter triplet energy transfer between bonded systems of a red phosphorescent Ir + complex and a conjugated polymer, polyfluorene, has been investigated in electrophosphorescence OLEDs . Red-emitting phosphorescence has been described based on the [Ir(btp)2(acac)j fragment attached either directly (spacerless) or through a —(CH2)8— chain (octamethylene-tethered) at the 9-position of a 9-octylfluorene host. Xu and coworkers reported that an efficient red EP with CIE chromaticity coordinates X = 0.69, y = 0.29, independent on current density, was obtained from [Ir(acac)(btfmp)2] doped devices. The EL spectrum has a maximum at 648 nm. A maximum external quantum efficiency of 9.6%, at current density of 0.125 mAcm, and a maximum luminance of 4200 cdm , at 7 = 552 mAcm , have been obtained. [Pg.171]

Another PF copolymer 28, composed of alternating DOF and thieno-[3,2-b]thiophene, was reported by Iim et al. [59]. The incorporation of electron-rich thieno- [ 3,2- b ] thiophene moiety in the polymer backbone led to lower HOMO (5.38 eV) and higher LUMO (2.4 eV) levels than those of PFO (HOMO 5.8 eV, LUMO 2.12 eV [12]). The device ITO/PEDOT PSS/28/IiF/Al exhibited a pure green emission with a peak at 515 nm and CIE coordinates of (0.29, 0.63), which is very close to the standard green required by the National Television System Committee (NTSC) (0.26, 0.65). In addition, the maximum brightness and efficiency of this device were 970 cdm 2 and 0.32 cd A-1, respectively. [Pg.66]

The principles of cooperation, coordination and communication between organizations underpin the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations and the CDM Regulations, explained next. See later section 3.11 on joint occupation of premises. For more information on the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations, read the summary in Chapter 20. [Pg.39]

In some cases the fire safety manager will wish to delegate some of his duties to an individual to coordinate the management of fire safety. This is particularly relevant in the construction industry for larger projects, particularly those that fall under CDM, where it is recommended that each site has a fire safety coordinator whose role is to ... [Pg.41]
