Carbochain polymers

It should be noted that by immobilizing the metal complex catalysts on carbochain polymers it is possible to prepare polymer-polymer compositions using PVC, PMMA, poly(vinyl acetate), etc., as the polymeric fillers [286-287]. 

The main progress in the science of ageing and stabilisation of polymers has generally been related to large tonnage carbochain polymers polyolefins, polyfvinyl chloride), rubbers, acrylic polymers. This is a consequence of not only their interest to industry, but also of the existence of fundamental investigations of cracking and oxidation of individual aliphatic compounds. 

I. Organic carbochain polymers and copolymers of poly-4-methylpentene-l [4] PMMA or methyl methacrylate (MMA) copolymers with other alkyl-(meth)acrylates (AMA) [1-3, 5] poly(vinyl acetate) vinyl acetate copolymer with ethylene [4, 6-8] polymers of chlorine-containing olefins [9]. 

The list of fluorine-containing carbochain polymers [24,49,73, 84, 85] can be broadened by synthesising new fluoroalkyl methacrylates with a nontraditional structure of alcohol... 

In Sections 8.1-8.3 the optical transparent carbochain polymers for materials with the complete internal light-reflection based on fluorine-containing vinyl and (meth)acryl monomers were discussed.

Abstract The presented paper is a summary of our results on synthesis and polymerization of silyl-containing norbomenes and norbomadienes via ring-opening metathesis polymerization (ROMP) and addition processes as well as ring-opening polymerization (ROP) of silacyclobutanes and disilacyclobutanes. The synthesis of heterochain and carbochain polymer families with regularly varied substituents at Si atom and various number and location Si(CH3)3-substituents has been realized. Systematic study of gas transport parameters of polycarbosilanes series of different classes allowed us to find out real eorrelations between features of chemical polymer structure and its gas separation eharacteristics.

Carbochain polymer based fibers are higher resistant to microbiological damages. These polymers are-polyolefins, polyvinyl chloride, polyvinyl flnoride, polyacrylonitrile, and polyvinyl alcohol. Fibers based on heterochain polymers polyamide, polyether, polyurethane, and so on, are less bioresistant.

This work is devoted to systematic study of gas transport parameters of polycarbosilanes obtained from silicon-containing cyclic monomers. This approach allowed us to synthesize carbochain and heterochain polymer femilies with regularly varied substituents at Si atom. On the other hand, such research on polymer series of different classes leads to basic correlations and helps one to understand relationships between features of polymer chemical structure and its gas separation characteristics.
