ASAP was developed by CDM FPC s Expert Systems team, through a contract held by Camp Dresser McKee-Dallas with the Dallas Water Utilities. The domain expert, an employee of Camp Dresser McKee-Dallas, has over 20 years experience in the wastewater field, and works closely with Dallas Water Utilities. Development proceeded according to well-known expert system development guidelines, facilitated by the wastewater treatment experience of one of the knowledge engineers on the team. We estimate that her experience saved about 2 person-months in the 12 person-month development effort. 

Anton Adam Kaliuske obtained in 1935 his MS degree in civil engineering from the University of Wisconsin, Madison Wl. He was from 1936 to 1947 assistant, and associate professor of hydraulic and mechanical engineering at University of Iowa, Iowa City lA, and in parallel associate director of the Iowa Institute of Hydraulic Research from 1942 to 1946. He then joined until 1949 as chief hydraulic engineer the Infilco Inc., Tucson AZ, from when he there took over as research director. He became a private consultant in 1965 for an office at Salt Lake City UT. In 1969 he accepted the post of professor at the Utah Water Research Laboratory, Utah State University, Logan UT. He was later also associated with Camp, Dresser McKee Inc., Boston MA.
