Cable basket

Cable basket is becoming very popular for commercial and industrial installations. It is made from steel wire into a basket channei with sides. 

Cable basket allows maximum airflow around the cables which are iaid into the basket without fixing. 

Cable basket requires similar installation techniques to cabie tray and shouid be adequately supported.

Although rod anodes screwed into the side walls of containers are preferred, plate anodes and basket anodes are mostly necessary on the base. They are particularly suitable for large containers without being built in. Plate anodes are supplied with a flat plastic holder to which the cable conductor is attached and... 

In such cases basket anodes are frequently used. These have a relatively large surface and work at a low driving voltage due to their special construction. A cylinder of platinized titanium-expanded metal serves as the basket to which a titanium rod is welded. This serves as the current lead and carrier, and ends in a plastic foot that contains the cable lead and at the same time serves as the mounting plate. The expanded metal anode exhibits a very uniform anode current density distribution, even at large dimensions, in contrast to the plate anode. The reason is the many comers and edges of the metal that make the point effect only evident at the outer edges of the anode. 

A balloon 20 m in diameter is filled with helium at a gauge pressure of 2.0 atm. A man is standing in a basket suspended from the bottom of the balloon. A restraining cable attached to the basket keeps the balloon from r ing. The balloon (not including the gas it contains), the basket, and the man have a combined mass of 150 kg. The temperature is 24 C that day, and the barometer reads 760 mm Hg. 

Place one foot firmly on the rim of the floor of the basket, keep the other foot on the deck (this wiU prevent collapse if the crane operator takes tension off the lifting cable prematurely). 

Step off the basket once tension is off the crane cable.
