Buildmark warranty

The NHBC offers a ten year warranty for newly built homes to NHBC registered builders and developers and purchasers of their houses—the Buildmark warranty. 

Buildmark covers the full cost, if it is more than 500 at April 1999 prices, of cleaning up contamination of the land on which the house is built. This new cover will operate if a local authority or the Environment Agency takes action under Environmental law. NHBC Chapter 4.16 was issued in order to enable the Buildmark warranty to be extended to cover statutory remediation of contaminated land.
