Prout, Chemistryy Meteorology, etc., Bridgewater Treatise, 1834, 113, says he used hydrio-date of potash, as a remedy for goitre, in the year 1816 , and that so early as 1819, the remedy was adopted in St. Thomas s Hospital, by Elliotson, at the author s suggestion .
