Fluorescent bioprobes

The novel /V-hcicrocyclic carbene (NHC) l,3-dicyclohexyl-l,3-diazepan-2-ylidene 80 and its 5,6-dioxolane derivative 81 were synthesised and their coordination chemistry with Rh(I), Ir(I), and Pt(0) explored. The coordinated carbene ligands display extremely large NCN bond angles in crystal structures <0704800>. The cyclic urea 82 was synthesised and fluorescent properties studied in a search for new DNA/RNA bioprobes <07JOC102>. [Pg.440]

A different type of ethanol bioprobe was designed on the basis of an NAD -dependent dehydrogenase reaction [81]. Alcohol dehydrogenase plus NAD was retained at the end of a fiber by a microporous PTFE membrane, and the rate of formation of fluorescent NADH... [Pg.258]

Coupling of commercially available streptavidin-coated QDs with a biotin-ended lactose glycopolymer took place in one hour at room temperature to produce fluorescent bioprobes. Likewise, biotinylated Le, or HTV-l envelope glycoprotein gpl20, were... [Pg.247]
