Beryllium borates

Beryllium aluminum oxide (BeAlgO ) Beryllium borate (BeB02)... [Pg.22]

Lindemann Glass. A lithium beryllium borate glass that is highly transparent to X-rays. It is made from a batch consisting of 10 parts Li2B207,2 parts BeO and 3 parts B2O This glass is difficult to shape and is of low chemical durability. (C. L. Lindemann and F. A. Lindemann. Z. Roentgenkunde, 13,141,1911.) Lindemann-Danielson Test. See... [Pg.187]

Copper-beryllium alloys, 3 652-656 Copper borates, 4 282 Copper(I) bromide, molecular formula and uses, 7 1111... [Pg.218]

Benzidine (based dyes) Benzo(a)pyrene Benzoyl peroxide Benzyl chloride Beryllium and compounds Biphenyl Bismuth lelluride Borates, lelra, sodium salts Boron oxide... [Pg.408]

The borate chemistry of beryllium is somewhat limited. The mineral hambergite Be2BOs(OH) can be synthesized, and studies of the BeO-B203-H20 system under hydrothermal conditions have produced... [Pg.216]

Speciation of chromium (histidine/acetic acid acetate buffer/EDTA °), mercury (borate/MeOH), tin (pyridine/CTAB), lead (SDS/p-CD), arsenic (borate, phosphate or phosphate/borate, " phosphate/TTAB, phosphate andphosphate/TTAB ), sulfur (phosphate/TTAB/ACN), and selenium (histidine/acetic acid, SDS/p-CD ) by CE methods have been reported. Other examples include the analysis of beryllium (as an acetylacetone complex) in digested airborne dust and the determination of Fe(II)-, Cu(I)-, Ni(ll)-, Pd(II)-, and Pt(II)-cyano complexes and nitrate from leaching solutions of automobile catalytic converters. ... [Pg.942]

Boron surpasses in heat output every element except hydrogen and beryllium. By itself it burns only partially, even under pure oxygen at higher pressure, forming a glassy, low-melting oxide that envelops the unburnt residue. Reactivity in mixtures, however, is complete and borate formation may contribute significantly to heat output. [Pg.326]
