The dipping solution can also be employed as spray reagent, in this event 60% [6], 80% [5] or 95% ethanol [9] have been recommended in the literature. The reagent can be employed on silica gel, Dowex 50X4 (Na ), cellulose and starch layers. The detection limit for 1,4-benzodiazapines is 100 ng per chromatogram zone [11]. 

Gabapentin, a non-benzodiazapine GABA analog, was modestly effective in a 14-week controlled trial in SAD. Most patients were titrated to a maximal dose of 3600 mg/day.58 Pregabalin 600 mg/day was effective for social anxiety, fear, and avoidance behavior in a 10-week controlled trial.63 Pregabalin was well tolerated, and the most common side effects were somnolence and dizziness.

The applications of re-acidic chiral stationary phases include the resolution of a-blockers and /1-blockers, amines, arylacetamine, alkylcarbinols, hydantoins, barbiturates, naphthols, benzodiazapines, carboxylic acids, lactams, lactones, phthaldehydes selenoids, and phosphorus compounds. Hyun et al. [16] achieved a chiral resolution of a homologous series of iV-acyl-x-(l-naphthyl )cthylaminc on AA(3,5-dinitrobenzoyl-(i )-phenylglycine and N-(3,5 - dini tr o ben zoy I)-(,S ) -1 c u c ine CSPs. The authors used hexane-2-propanol (80 20, v/v) as the mobile phase. Similarly, the scope of re-basic CSPs comprises the chiral resolution of / -blockers, amino acids, amines, diamines, amino phosphonates, naphthols, benza-diazapines, carboxylic acids, hydroxy acids, dipeptides, tripeptides, diols,... 

The modern blockbuster products era started four decades ago with Valium (Roche, diazepam), which was the most prescribed global medicine between 1969 and 1982 with 2.3 billion doses taken in 1978 and the first medicine to achieve peak sales of 200 million. It was later joined by benzodiazapine, antibiotics, and non-stroidal analgesics and by several innovative medicines like Captopril, Capoten, and Mevacor in the 1980-1990 period [9-13]. The period of billion-dollar pharmaceutical brands started 10 years ago and of biotechnology brands about 5 years ago. A commercial report estimated the total blockbuster medicine sales in 2005 at 145 billion and forecasted strong growth in biologies [14].
