This method involves electrochemical deposition of the MPc onto CNT-modified electrode surface by repetitive cycling in a concentrated MPc solution (1 mM) within a specific potential window. The first cyclic voltammetric scan is usually similar to subsequent scans, indicating the formation of monomeric species only. Ozoemena et al [11] found that on certain occasions, as reported recently [11] during the electro-deposition of CoTAPc onto a basal plane pyrolytic graphite electrode (BPPGE) pre-modified with SWCNT, both cathodic and anodic waves may decrease continually and then stabilizes at a certain scan (a process known as electrochemical adsorption or simply called electrosorption ). [Pg.3]

Finally in this section it is worth noting that the oxidative coupling of phenols may be extended to form interesting polymers. Thus electrooxidative polymerization of phenol using basal-plane pyrolytic graphite electrodes gives thin black polymer films which are electrically conducting. ... [Pg.667]

Preparation of CoPc in PVP A mixed solution of DMF CoPc (Kanto Chemical Co.Inc. 5 to 50 jimol dm" ) and PVP (1 wt.%, prepared by radical poljnnerisation of 4-vinylpyridine) was prepared, and this solution (2 pL) was cast on a basal plane pyrolytic graphite electrode (BPG) (effective area 0.17 cm ) followed by solvent evaporation under ambient conditions. [Pg.597]

Haladjian et al investigated the behavior of cytochrome C3 at the basal-plane pyrolytic graphite electrode by cyclic voltammetry and differential pulse voltammetry. They observed modifications of the adsorbed film of cytochrome c upon scanning the potentials in both the anodic and cathodic ranges. The redox potentials were found to be pH-dependent, which suggested that irreversibly denatured forms containing a hemin-like group were in close contact with the electrode surface. [Pg.346]

In previous papers we have shown that anthracycline adriamycin (ADM) and its derivatives are strongly adsorbed on electrode surfaces and that the two-electron redox reaction of the anthraquinone moiety occurs through its semiquinone radical intermediate even in aqueous media. In addition, we have found characteristic reduction waves of molecular oxygen catalyzed by ADM and 7-deoxyadriamycinone (7-DADMN) adsorbed on basal-plane pyrolytic graphite electrode (BPGE) surfaces this report, we... [Pg.267]
