Banding complex

The bisanthraceno-crown ether E-l (Figure 10.26) exhibits a fluorescence spectrum composed of the characteristic monomer and excimer bands. Gradual addition of sodium perchlorate to a solution in methanol induces a decrease in the monomer band and an increase in the excimer band. Complexation is indeed expected to bring closer together the two anthracene units, which favors excimer formation. A 2 1 (metabligand) complex is formed with Na+ in methanol and acetonitrile with a positive cooperative effect (see Appendix B). The difficulties of interpretation presented by some of these complexes are well illustrated by the sequence of ferrocene derivatives (VIII to X). The Woodlawn volcanogenic Zn-Pb-Cu deposit is situated on the flank of a folded Middle to Upper Silurian volcaniclastic pile within the Lachlan Fold belt of eastern Australia (Malone et al., 1975). Primary ore comprises some 6 million tonnes of finely-banded complex massive sulphide ore (average grade 14% Zn, 5% Pb, 1.6% Cu and 88 g/t Ag). Sometimes, however, the ether vibration is not observed as a pronounced band, it then appears only as a broad shoulder at the low wave number slope of this band complex. When present, however, the coupling is always clearly visible, causing the shift of the 2 OD bending vibration toward smaller wave numbers. 

For thin layers of PMMA on the surface of crystal KRS-5, it was established that at changing depths of radiation penetration, the spectra vary in regard to the intensity of some bands. Complex changes in spectra and the intensity of conformation-sensitive bands are observed at the distances of 1.5-2 pm from the surface.
