Bakanae disease

Ipconazole was launched by Kureha in 1993 (Table 17.16). It is a systemic fungicide, suitable for the control of a wide range of seed diseases in rice and other crops with seed treatment application. Trade names are Tec-Lead , Techlead , Vortex and Crusoe . Ipconazole is particularly effective against Bakanae disease caused by Fusarium moniliforme [71], Helminthosporium leaf spot and blast (Mag-naporthe grisea) on rice. In combination with copper, ipconazole is marketed under the trade name TEC-LEAD C ELOWABLE . [Pg.631]
