Bacillus ohbensis

Known producers of CGTase include Bacillus mascerans (7), Bacillus megaterium (8), Bacillus ohbensis (9), alkalophilic Bacillus sp. (lO M), Bacillus amyloliquefacien (15), Bacillus subtilis (16), Klebsiella oxytoca (17), and Micrococcus sp. (18), However, none of these CGTase enzymes are sufficiently thermostable for use in industrial starch liquefaction. [Pg.385]

Bacillus ohbensis sp. Nov. C-1400 10.0 30 Water soluble defatted soy, sodium glutamate, K2HPO4, MgS04,Na2C03, NaHP04,CaCl2 72... [Pg.50]

Amino acid compositions of the CGTases from 3 kinds 6f Bacillus were examined (9). None of the three enzymes contained cysteine, and the amounts of neutral and basic amino acids were similar. A relatively large amount of acidic amino acids was contained in the CGTase from B. ohbensis, which may be related to the acidity of the enzyme. [Pg.128]
