2 ATSDR Strategy for Carcinogenic Effects of Chemical Mixtures 

Steps 1 and 2 ask questions as to whether the mixture has already been either regulated or scientifically evaluated in which case this information should be used. If this is not the case further steps are proposed  

Are the estimated risks equal to or greater than 1 X 10 for at least two of the individual mixture components  

additivity and interactions are unlikely to result in health hazard.
