The various kinds of interfacial forces have been described in the literature.The interface at the water and simple aromatic hydrocarbons hydrogen bonding has been considered. The IFT of water-alkanes and water-aromatic hydrocarbons have been extensively analyzed. These analyses have been considered for two different kinds of forces the short-range and long-range work of adhesion. 

CHLOROWAX is miscible with many organic solvents, including aliphatic, aromatic and terpene hydrocarbons chlorinated aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons hydrogenated naphthas ketones, esters and drying oils. They are insoluble in water, glycerine and glycols. With a few exceptions, the liquid grades are insoluble in the lower alcohols. 

Properties Clear to It. amber liq. si. pungent odor sol. in acetone misc. with aliphatic, aromatic, terpene, and chlorinated aliphatic/aromatic hydrocarbons, hydrogenated naphthas, ketones, esters, drying oils, many org. soivs. sol. < 1 mg/ml in water, 95% ethanol m.w. 560 (avg.) sp.gr.

Thus hydrogenation of benzene to cyclohexane proceeds slowly at 25 °C and < 760 mmHg pressure in the presence of [Co( y -C3HB)- P(OMe)3)3]. Alkylbenzenes are converted into alkylcyclohexanes, anisole into methoxycyclohexane, and ethylbenzoate into ethyl cyclohexenylcarboxylate.
