Polystyrylsulfonyl chloride resin is available from Argonaut Technologies. The batch used by the submitters had a substitution of 1.44 mmol/g (the checker s batch had a substitution of 1.45 mmol/g). The use of polystyrylsulfonyl chloride resin from Novabiochem in this type of reaction resulted in drastically longer reaction times and less pure products. 

ArgoGel MB-CHO resin was purchased from Argonaut Technologies, substitution = 0.42 mmol/g, lot 104—20. 

Available from Argonaut Technologies. Reagent additions were carried out through the luer ports on the upper manifold to maintain an anhydrous atmosphere during the reaction sequence. The chemistry described is very robust and can be carried out in any suitable solid phase reactor. 

Argonaut Technologies. Endeavor allows parallel reaetions under pressures up to 3.3 MPa (33 atm) and temperatures up to 200°C. Eaeh of the eight vessels (working volume 15 mL) can be independently controlled for temperature, pressure, and gas delivery.

This was achieved using die Quest 205 apparatus from Argonaut Technologies (Basel, Switzerland). Combination of parallel syndiesis with online work-up and sample collection allows synthesis procedures using one single instrument. Each reaction vessel has a port at the top, a drain valve at the bottom and inert gas to control draining time. This gives a number of options for on-line work-up such as liquid-liquid exfraction or solvent evaporation.
