Antifibrinolytic effect

Tranexamic acid (Cyklokapron, Transamin) is a synthetic derivative of the amino acid lysine. It exerts its antifibrinolytic effect through the reversible blockade of lysine binding sites on plasminogen molecules. [Pg.374]

There are several potential causes for segmental necrosis of muscle fiber. The cause of this type of necrosis is not well understood but could be due to effects on the plasma membrane or the outer boundary of the muscle fiber.
