Each wheel node is responsible of applying the requested brake torque through the actuation of a brake caliper. The wheel node exeeutes a simple algorithm which implements an anti-lock braking system (ABS). The algorithm can be described using the following pseudo-code ...

A basic ethical issue is whether a system should be used, for the sake of its undoubted benefits, when it is known to contain undetected flaws, e.g. in software. Such systems range from automotive anti-lock braking systems to medical diagnostic systems, the latto sector and its ethics being discussed in [11]. 

A recent trend is to introduce different in-vehicle driver support systems to reduce the mental load of the driving task. These include, for example, automatic speed control, anti-collision radar, anti-lock braking system (ABS)...
