Nalbandian, R. 1987. Automatic thermal and dynamic analysis of electronic printed circuit boards by ANSYS finite element program. In Proceeding of the confrence on Integrating Design and Analysis, pp. 11.16-11.33, Newport Beach, CA, March 31-April 3. [Pg.1350]

To overcome these problems, a multiphase model considering a hypoplastic approach including intergranular strain for the solid phase has been developed in this work. Due to its implementation into the finite element program ANSYS it also allows for soil-structure-interaction analyses within the existing finite element framework. In Holler Meskouris (2006), presented the application of the model to a soil-strncture interaction analysis of silos under dynamic excitation. [Pg.294]

In another approach, the stress relaxation behavior was analyzed using the finite element program ANSYS by modeling the isothermal, time-dependent behavior of Min-K using Equation 2,... [Pg.87]

Many commercial finite element computer programs (for example ABAQUS, ADINA, ANSYS, DYNA, DYNA3D, LS-DYNA, NASTRAN and NONSAP) arc readily available for nonlinear dynamic analysis. Other computer codes, such as CBARCS, COSMOS/M, STABLE, ANSR 1 have been developed specifically for the design of structures to resist blast toads. All these computer programs possess nonlinear analysis capabilities to varying degrees. [Pg.182]

Determination of natural frequency of an elastic structure can be performed analytically (for simple geometries) [127] and/or numerically (for complex structures) using finite element computer programs (such as NASTRAN, MARC, and ANSYS) or proprietary computer programs. [Pg.1365]

The strength characteristics can be calculated with finite element methods (FEMs). Besides stress-strain analyses, thermodynamic and fluid dynamic tests can be carried out. Preprocessors enable automated net generation based on the initial geometric model. Most CAD systems have interfaces for common FEM programs (e.g., NASTRAN, ANSYS) or have their own equation solver for FEM tests. Based on the substantial data resulting from an FEM test, it is necessary for postprocessing of results. The results are then portrayed in deformation plots, color-coded presentations of the stress-strain process, or animations of the deformation. [Pg.2835]

There are a number of methods used to do the finite element analysis. Among the commercially available programs are NASTRAN, ANSYS, STARDYNE, and MARC-CDC (see bibliography). All of the programs are capable of generating networks for use in structural analysis on plastics parts provided that assumptions are made with respect to the elastic response of the materials. The last program listed is a nonlinear program and can accommodate the nonlinear stress-strain performance of plastics. [Pg.90]
