Analytical chemistry stability-indicating assays

Analytical Chemistry develops stability-indicating assays for NCEs and identifies/quantifies impurities cooperates with Product R D on product stability studies. 

Analytical Chemistry develops stability-indicating assays for R D, then transfers them to Quality Control when the product is marketed. Too often these groups are at loggerheads concerning what is an adequate, efficient assay procedure for the NCE. Management s mutual respect and cooperation, plus voluntary temporary interdepartmental transfers, can usually minimize these difficulties. 

Kendra Evans is an Associate Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Detroit Mercy. Her research focuses on the development and use of automated liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry methods to investigate longterm insulin secretion dynamics. Her research interests also include the detection of pesticides in water and arrimal tissue, as well as the development of stability-indicating assays to monitor the forced degradation of pharmaceutical compoimds. Evans received aB.S. in Chemistry from Western Kentucky University and aPh.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the Urriversity of Michigan. She joined the facrrlty at the University of Detroit Mercy in 2009.
