Analysis of Literature Sources

To facilitate the efficient literature searching of workers in the metal carbonyl field we provide here a breakdown of the reference sources for the 1992 literature. Although there is certain to be some personal bias in the distribution of literature sources, it is unlikely to distort the overall picture too greatly.

Researchers would be well advised to note that nearly 80% of publications in 1994 were concentrated in the top five journals.

In total, some 53 journals are represented in the list of references, of which 28 contained only a single paper of interest to this report. It is interesting to note that over half (52%) of all the papers reviewed in this report were published in five journals (J. Organomet. Chem. [18%], Organometallics [14%], Inorg. Chem. [7%], J. Am. Chem. Soc. [7%] and J. Chem. Soc. Dalton Trans [6%]).
