Limited capabilities as the instrument carries out an analog measurement, on-line signal processing of data is almost impossible. All analysis tasks must be done off-line, and cost is increased (equipment, specialists). [Pg.276]

Mossbauer Spectral Analysis and Analog Measurements. In 1987, Swartz [73] measured the thermal boundary resistance between metal films and the dielectric substrates onto which the films were deposited, in the range 0.6-200 K. A typical example is the measurement of the thermal contact resistance between indium and sapphire [72]. To minimize the dependence on surface irregularities, indium was vacuum deposited onto the sapphire rods the two surfaces were then pressed together and annealed. Analogous measurements have been carried out also with lead and aluminium. In all these cases, it has been clear that the contact resistance was strongly dependent on the sample preparation. In PSpice both a 7414 and a CD4093 were used. The 7414 is the digital model for the Schmitt trigger inverter. It is important to determine whether or not each substituent parameter is an independent variable. If a considerable correlation exists between two parameters in a set of compounds, it is often difficult to evaluate the quality of structure—activity correlations. The data in Table II are for the muscarine-like activity of acetylcholine analogs measured by the blood pressure descent of cats (55).
