Amoxicillin combination preparations

Co-codamol is a combination of paracetamol (nonnapioid analgesic) and codeine (opioid analgesic). One of the side-effects of opioids is constipation. Naprosyn is a proprietary (trade name) preparation of the non-steroidal antiinflammatory drug naproxen Adalat is a proprietary preparation of the calcium-channel blocker nifedipine Amoxil is a proprietary preparation of the beta-lactam amoxicillin and Dulco-lax is the brand name of the stimulant laxative bisacodyl. 

Parenteral preparations with antimicrobial activity, which depends on the causative pathogenic microorganism, and pharmacokinetic properties that meet most of these criteria include procaine penicillin G (aqueous suspension), amoxicillin trihydrate-clavulanate potassium combination (aqueous suspension), and enro-floxacin (solution). Enrofloxacin is not approved for use... 

The determination of amoxicilline, ciprofloxacin, and piroxicam in bulk and pharmaceutical preparations has been performed by combining the oxidation character of Fe(III) with the chelation property of Fe(II), affording highly colored complexes. The reagent solutions are (1) a mixture of 1,10-phenanthroline and iron(III) ammonium sulfate in hydrochloride medium and (2) 2,2 -bipyridyl and iron(III) ammonium sulfate in hydrochloride medium. The resulting Fe(II) concentration, proportional to the amount of drug present, is monitored by the measurement of absorbances of tris(o-phenanthro-line) iron(U) or tris (bipyridyl) iron(II) complexes at 510 and 522 nm, respectively.
