2- amino ethane-sulfonate

Materials and Methods. PS was purified from bovine brain in this laboratory as previously described (45). Dispersions of multilamellar vesicles and sonicated unilamellar vesicles were prepared as described earlier (15, 45) in a standard buffer containing 100mm NaCl, 7mm L-histi-dine N-tris-(hydroxymethyl) methyl 2-amino ethane-sulfonic acid (TES), and approximately 0.1mm EDTA, adjusted to pH 7.4. CF containing vesicles were prepared by hydration and sonication in a solution of 100mm CF, 0.1mm EDTA, and 1/10 (v/v) of the standard buffer, adjusted to pH 7.4, separated by passage through a Sephadex G-75 (1.0 X 20 cm) column equilibrated with the standard (0.1M NaCl) buffer and stored on ice. [Pg.83]

As emulsifiers Na and K salts of glycine, lysine and taurine (total < 0.8 %) as well as N-(2-amino-ethyl)-3-amino propane sulfonate and/or N-(2-amino-ethyl)-2-amino ethane sulfonate (total < 5.0%) are recommended. These emulsifiers are incorporated into the macromolecules and therefore can be found only in very small amounts in the finished product. Esters of montanic acid with ethanediol and/or 1,3-butanediol and mixtures of these esters with unesterified montanic acid as well as Ca salts (total <1.5 %) can be used as lubricants and mold release agents. [Pg.38]

The taurine residue can also be found as an amide derivative of the 26-carboxylic acid function in the 3p,5a,6p,15a-polyhydroxylated steroids 328 and 329, which were obtained from the starfish Myxoderma platyacanthum [245]. The structures of both compounds were determined from spectral data and chemical correlations. The bile of the sunfish Mola mola has been shown to contain a new bile acid conjugated with taurine (330) together with sodium taurocholate. Compound 330 was identified as sodium 2-[3a,7a, 11 a-trihydroxy-24-oxo-5P-cholan-24-yl]amino]ethane-sulfonate on the basis of its physicochemical data and chemical transformations [246]. [Pg.872]

Synthesis of the polyester 9a 2-[Bis(2-hydroxyethyl)-amino]-ethane sulfonic acid (0.02 mol), triethylamine (0.04 mol) and 0.15 g tetra-n-butylphosphonium bromide were added to 60 mL dimethylacetamide. The mixture was heated at 70 °C for 20 min until the sulfonic acid was dissolved. Then at 20 °C 0.02 mol terephthaloyl chloride in 20 mL dimethylacetamide was added dropwise at 20 °C over 10 min. The resulting slurry was poured into ethanol to precipitate the polyester 9a (yield 80%). [Pg.212]

Chloroalanine has been found to be an irreversible inhibitor of the pyridoxal phosphate-linked yS-aspartate decarboxylase/ aspartate aminotransferase/ and alanine racemase. The mechanism of inhibition is shown above by Eq. (7) (the sulfate reacts in the same manner) amino-ethane sulfonate irreversibly inhibits pyridoxal phosphate-linked GABA transaminase and L-serine-O-sulfate irreversibly inhibits aspartate aminotransferase. ... [Pg.34]

The Rf value of three degradates, 2 6 -diethlanaline, 2-chloro-2 6 -diethlacetanilide, and ethane sulfonic acid [2-[(2,6-dietfayl-phenyl) (methoxymethyl) amino]-2-oxoethanesulfonic acid, were similar with an Rf value of 0.65. The oxoac tic acid metabolite (OAA) [(2,6-diethylphenyl) (methoxymethyl) amino] oxoacetic acid had an Rf value of 0.45 (Figure 2). Other bands of more polar, unidentified C compounds were found in some treatments and had Rf values ranging from 0.05 to 0.35. [Pg.205]
