Air aspirators

Air Aspiration Design / Operation / Maintenance Design, Improper suction pipe, fluid flow too fast. Inadequate flange torque, operation to the right of BEP. [Pg.38]

Not enough discharge flow Excessive discharge Head Not enough NPSHa Worn or damaged impeller Inadequate foot valve size. Air aspiration or air pocket in the suction line. Plugged impeller or piping... [Pg.229]

No discharge pressure. Pump improperly primed. Inadequate Speed. Not enough NPSHa. Plugged impeller or piping. Incorrect rotation. Closed discharge valve Air aspirated or air pockets at the suction line. [Pg.229]

Mechanical problems. Air aspiration thru the packing/seal. [Pg.231]

The smooth field pea (Pisum sativum L. cv. Trapper) and small fababean (Vicia faba minor cv. Diana) samples were composites of several lots grown in 1981. After blending, about 20 kg were dehulled on a resinoid disc, abrasive dehuller (19), followed by air aspiration to remove 10 and 15% of hulls, resp. The dehulled seeds were coarse-ground in a hammermill and subdivided for dry and wet processing. [Pg.180]

Dry beans (Phaseolus vulgaris), represented by the commercial classes of navy, pinto and black were used to produce flour fractions at the Food Protein Research and Development Center, Texas A M University. Beans were dry-roasted under selected process conditions in a gas fired solid-to-solid heat exchanger, dehulled by air aspiration, pin-milled and air-classified to obtain four flour fractions. These fractions included whole, hulls, high protein, and high starch flours. [Pg.194]

Lundegardh vaporizer analychem A device used for emission flame photometry in which a compressed air aspirator vaporizes the solution within a chamber smaller droplets are carried into the fuel-gas stream and to the burner orifice where the solvent is evaporated, dissociated, and optically excited. Cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea has been described as an interesting but highly unusual sequel of bromocriptine administration (SEDA-8, 143). The reverse effect, air aspiration through a sellar-pharyngeal leak, has also been encountered (SEDA-9,126). [Pg.560]

Figure 6.9. Readouts for the determination of sulfite in a dilute phosphate buffer solution (0.01 M, pH 6.8) using the manifold system shown in Fig. 6.8. (a) Calibration curve obtained by aspirating thiosulfate standards of 0, 0.25, 0.50, 0.75, 1.00, 1.50, and 2.00 mM prepared in the same buffer solution, b and c) Response signals obtained when monitoring the oxidation of a 1 mM sulfite solution saturated with air, aspirating a sample each minute, to which a catalyst (Cu " ) is added after b) a delay period of 15 min, and (c) at the beginning of the experiment, d) Repetition of the experiment outlined in (b), yet adding 0.01 M EDTA to the sulfite solution at the outset. A major rapeseed cleaning innovation has recently been proved in practice and is now available to the industry. It consists of a single machine with air aspiration and only one moving element. It performs the functions of the former multiple units, requires less space, maintenance and surveillance. The quality of the product is excellent. [Pg.182]
