One more example of an uncommon NCCCN binucleophile, compound 122, was used recently in the synthesis of human Aj adenosine receptor ligands (Scheme 138) [400]. In this case, a pyrazole nitrogen atom was one of the nucleophilic centers in the reaction, which led to the formation of tricyclic fused aromatic ring system (compound 666).
